July 1, 2007 - St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Sunset Service, picnic with hot dogs and pie, in appreciation of our country and military, 1508 W. 12th Ave., 620-342-4869. 

July 3, 2007 - 150th Anniversary Concert with Kelley Hunt, Albert Taylor Hall, Emporia State University, 620-342-1803.

• 7:30 p.m. - Opening Act: Callie Agler, formerly of Emporia, and husband Michael Chambliss.
• 8:15 p.m. - Featuring internationally known, Kelley Hunt, Roots R&B / Americana singer/songwriter/piano player, formerly of Emporia.

July 4, 2007 - 150th Anniversary Celebration, downtown Emporia, 620-342-1803.

• 9 a.m.-3 p.m. - Street Festival, festuring food, entertainment, arts & crafts showcasing the heritage of Emporians, Mechanic Street between 6th & 8th Avenues.
• 10 a.m. - 150th Anniversary Parade, on Commercial Street.
• 9:30 p.m. - Fireworks Extravaganza, Lyon County Fairgrounds.
