Celebrate the Nation’s independence enjoying fun events and a fireworks extravaganza. Twin Rivers 5K Fun Run & 15 mile Bike ride starts at Sodens Grove, 7:30 a.m. Then a Twin Rivers 4th of July Parade on Commercial Street at noon. The Twin Rivers 4th of July Festival starts at 12:30 at Farmers Market Parking Lot at 8th & Merchant St. and the Twin Rivers 4th of July Street Dance & Fireworks Viewing Street Dance begins at dark at the Farmers Market Parking Lot. You can also enjoy the fireworks this year at Emporia State University, football practice field parking lot.
